The Journey is our passion
As an incoming individual leisure tour operator, we show our lovely and demanding clients our beautiful countries from the North Sea to the Alps at their best.
Our meticulously prepared, highly customized tours, attention to detail and commitment to customer service throughout the Distinctly Germany experience have created a strong demand. We are therefore looking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of a
Travel Planning Teamlead m/f/d
You already have several years of experience in the travel industry. You know the DACH region and its most popular destinations and want to help us bring them to life for our clients. Our clients travel in the luxury segment, so it is important that you understand and want to serve their needs in terms of service, taste, and lifestyle.
You will oversee our trip planning department. You will work with our small team to create a customized itinerary for each of our trips. You know how to separate authentic experiences from the well-trodden tourist paths, and you enjoy building reliable business relationships with our expert service providers. The Travel Planning Department is the interface between our sales department, guests and partners, so in addition to creative liaison tasks, you should enjoy working in a highly organized and structured manner and communicate well in all directions. To be able to adapt our trips flexibly and quickly to all circumstances, we work mainly with the common Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Suite programs – you should have at least a basic knowledge of these. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for working in our team.
YOUR journey is our passion, too
We are a small, international, and upbeat team of travel enthusiasts. We love our customers and our product and try to live this spirit in the office. We are open to criticism and new ideas. We maintain open and honest communication with sensitivity and at eye level.
In our bright office, everyone has their own modern Apple Macintosh workstation. Your main workplace will be in our office in Karlsruhe; however, you may work from home some days if requested.
Of course, even we are not spared from the seasonal peaks of the travel industry, so we need your full commitment from May to July and in September. In general, we work Monday through Friday – on some weekends throughout the year, we all take over the guest emergency phone. Our aim is for everyone to have a good work-life balance, so a reduction in hours during the slower months is welcome.
We work 40 hours/week with 30 days of vacation. We try to avoid overtime. Our package is above the industry average, and we offer some valuable extras.
In addition to salary we offer
an annual travel budget for personal travel to our destinations
Flexible working hours – home office possible by arrangement
Free refreshments: coffee, tea, water, drinks in the office
Great clients, partners and colleagues in an appreciative and positive work environment.
