Planning with Distinctly Deutschland in a nutshell? Your bespoke itinerary is the blue print for your trip. It will undergo as many iterations as necessary until you are perfectly happy.
Step 1: It’s good to talk
We know your time is precious, but a highly personalized itinerary means we need to take a few moments to talk to you about your interests and preferences, as well as your party’s preferred style and pace of travel.
Tell us about destinations that rank high on your wish list, and about that unique experience you’re longing for. We’ll listen carefully and make sure we fully understand what you’re looking for so we can deliver it.
Step 2: Personalized Itinerary
After speaking to you and understanding your personal preferences we will carefully craft your tailor-made itinerary. You will receive a very descriptive, illustrated and perfectly personalized day-to-day travel plan that is bound to impress.
We will quote in US$ or Euros, whatever you prefer. Our proposal will be binding for 14 days.
Step 3: Fine Tuning
After you had time to review and have shared your feedback with us we will tweak and adapt your bespoke Distinctly Deutschland Travel Experience until it is exactly the trip you have been dreaming of.
Step 4: Confirm your booking
Once you have agreed on your final itinerary (with all the services and experiences included) we will prepare an easy-to-understand personalized travel agreement stipulating the terms of your DD Travel Package. We will ask you to approve and sign this travel agreement. We will also request a deposit payment to confirm your booking. Payments can be made by wire transfer, cheque or by credit card. Please note that a surcharge for international credit card payments may apply.
Step 5: Preparing your tailor-made Itinerary
Our team of DD Travel Tailors will then start to prepare your actual trip.
For every day of your trip, we will carefully craft a very detailed and highly personalized itinerary, including all the journey’s useful facts such as hotel information, guided tours, train schedules, etc. as well as sightseeing recommendations, suggested driving routes, background information, personalized restaurant recommendations, etc…
Your personal travel tailor will be in touch with you throughout this process to be sure we include everything on you wish list – and a few extra pleasant surprises!
Step 6: Before your arrival
We will send out your detailed day-to-day itinerary some 2 weeks before your arrival.
Please tell us about any final adjustments (restaurants you would like to be reserved or a performance you would like to see?) so we can make any last minute adjustments.
Before your departure to Europe you will receive the final copy of your Distinctly Deutschland Itinerary, as well as all relevant contact and welcome information.
Step 7: Enjoy your trip!
The minute you arrive, you can relax and enjoy. A Distinctly Deutschland Representative will welcome you at the airport (or at your hotel) and hand over your DD Welcome Pack including a printed version of your personalized itinerary, vouchers, maps, supporting documents, toll stickers, as well as your pre-programmed German iPhone allowing you to be in touch with your personal DD Travel Concierge throughout your trip.
