The best businesses start with a passion. Ours has always been in traveling and what every trip naturally brought with it – new people, stunning nature, new food and other cultures. Being passionate travellers ourselves, we have visited over 70 countries and appreciated unique service experiences in places you wouldn’t expect.

Whilst being proud of the scenic beauty and cultural wealth of our own country, touring Germany hasn’t always been an indulging experience. There was literally not a single tour operator specializing on bespoke tours with high-end services for the demanding traveller. Someone had to present Germany and its many hidden gems in their best light, so it was in 2009 when we decided to launch Distinctly Deutschland.

With a small team we spent a whole year of our time scouting hotels, testing restaurants and searching for unique experiences. While this sounds as an enviable privilege it is a daunting task at the same time – given that mediocracy still prevails in many sectors of the travel industry. Carving out heart-felt hospitality, finding exclusive access to even the most popular attractions and distilling consistent best-in-class service is a life-long endeavour before Distinctly Deutschland will lend its name to any service partner we include.

For the past 13 years we worked relentlessly to redefine the idea of bespoke luxury travel in Germany and Distinctly Deutschland has been acknowledged as Germany’s premier luxury tour operator.

Meeting our guests personally – whenever this is possible – we still deem as the most rewarding aspect of our work. Today we are joined by a long-standing team of passionate travel tailors who regard it as their greatest reward to painstakingly curate exciting itineraries for each individual guest that guarantee to result in life-long memories.
